The Twisted World of Black Mirror Returns to Netflix After Four Year Break

Black Mirror fans, get ready to binge-watch your favourite dystopian drama series as it returns to Netflix after a long four-year break. Creator Charlie Brooker hinted at its comeback with a quizzical face emoji in response to fans’ queries.

However, it seems like the show’s depictions of advanced AI and robot technology are no longer just science fiction. In a tweet, the official Netflix account remarked, “Scientists are still creating robots that slowly harness more and more advanced AI like they haven’t watched a single episode of your show.” Talk about life imitating art!

Fans took to Twitter to express their excitement about the show’s return, with some highlighting the eerily similar events of the past few years. One fan tweeted, “Oh, just a global pandemic, economic collapse, wildfires, murder hornets, and the general chaos of 2020. But don’t worry, it’s not like anything major happened.” Another fan quipped, “COVID, January 6th, George Floyd, Trump indicted, need I go on?”

One fan even suggested that the next Black Mirror season should consist of news and video clips of the past three years, with the trailer ending on a hopeful note for season 7. It’s an interesting idea, but we have faith in the show’s writers to come up with something that’s both entertaining and thought-provoking.

The show’s previous season only had three episodes, but given the show’s popularity, it’s safe to say that fans are eagerly anticipating what’s to come. Plus, with Netflix’s deal with Banijay Group to keep the show on their platform, it seems like the future is bright for Black Mirror.
