Meet The Waterboys

Brent Costelloe Profile web

Brent Costelloe

As a child, Brent had dreams of playing professional sport and working in the media industry.

Fortunately for him, one of those came true!

He divides his time between WIN News as its State Sports Journalist… before turning into one of The Waterboys, a statewide radio show heard across six stations over the weekend.

He’s also the Court Announcer for the Tasmania JackJumpers NBL team.

Since he began reporting on the industry in 2008, he’s earned tremendous trust… and interviewed some of local, national and international sports biggest names.

Brent, who’s also a passionate West Coast Eagles fan, lives in Hobart with his wife, three children and pet dog.

He’s been with The Waterboys since it began airing in 2011.

Cam Brown Profile web

Cameron Brown

Cam is a highly respected figure in Tasmania’s football community.

He’s played at the state’s highest level, coached an Old Scholars side to a premiership and been a recruiter for AFL clubs.

Outside of sport, he works in the education system.

Cam is a mad Western Bulldogs supporter - and is famously remembered for watching an episode of Fawlty Towers and going for a walk when the 2016 preliminary final was being played because he was too nervous to watch it!

He’s also been part of The Waterboys since its inception in 2011, and lives in Hobart with his wife and two teenage children.

Blair Brownless

Despite spending a few years away from the show, like Brent and Cam, Blair was a founding member of The Waterboys.

Blair grew up on the mainland before moving to Tasmania after being recruited by the Clarence Football Club.

He went on to win 3 premierships with the Roos between 1989 and 1996.

By day, Blair is a school teacher and has educated plenty of students that have gone on to play elite sport.

He has a wife and three sons and is the brother of Geelong legend and media personality Billy Brownless.
