Back-Sync! Backstreet Boys and *NSYNC Just Teamed Up For The Ultimate Boy Band Supergroup

Everybody! Backstreet’s back and *NSYNC are too! The two iconic boy bands teamed up to create a new band “Back-Sync".

They performed together for the first time at a sold-out event in L.A, on June 19, 2021.

Backstreet Boys members AJ McLean and Nick Carter along with *NSYNC’s Joey Fatone and Lance Bass have come together to create the ultimate boy band which apparently has been a long time coming. Backstreet Boys’ McLean told Variety during a show rehearsal:

Fatone from *NSYNC said:

“It’s interesting to have the four of us knuckleheads do something together, which you’ve never seen before… BSB fans are very loyal, so we’re going, ‘We get it – certain people liked one band or the other back in the day, but now it’s okay to like both.’”

The four band members joined forces for 'Bingo Under the Stars', a Pride event in L.A supporting the Trevor Project which aims to save young LGBTQ lives.

Nick Carter wrote on his Instagram: "The four of us joined forces to celebrate love, unity and acceptance. Thank you to everyone that supported in person and virtually. It’s more important than ever to spread love #tsukisavestheworld #pride"

The new foursome performed *NSYNC’s “Bye, Bye, Bye” and Backstreet Boys hit “I Want It That Way”.

When questioned about a tour, McLean said he’d welcome back Justin Timberlake and that if a tour were to happen, it’d have to be all ten members. He said:

“Fans still want a Backstreet/*NSYNC tour, but it’s got to be all 10 of us. It’s the only way to make it work, so I think he’d be sleeping on it if he didn’t do it, but he’s a dad doing his thing and I completely respect that. This four is a dream team right now.”
