Daft Punk Call it Quits After 3 Decades of Hits

Highly influential French Electronic pop duo Daft Punk has officially announced they are calling it quits after three decades of hits.

The announcement comes in the form of an eight-minute video titled “Epilogue” (taken from their 2006 film Electroma" posted online this morning, and followed with a release to media.

Daft Punk famously hid their appearances behind futuristic robot costumes although their names were known (Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo) Their actual appearance was closely guarded. 

After forming in 1993, the pair ultimately saw commercial success with the release of Da Funk and released four studio albums and film soundtrack, 2010’s “Tron: Legacy”.

Other massive hits for Daft Punk include “One More Time,” “Get Lucky,” “Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger,” and “Digital Love”.

The duo have also produced music for other artists,

The Weeknd is one of the more recent artists to take advantage of a collaboration with the unique sound and style of Daft Punk with hits “Starboy” and “I Feel it Coming”.
